Great Scott! is an introduction into the world of ragtime. Five works have been chosen and simplified for younger learners. Playable with violin, viola, cello, and piano each of the duets works in combination with the others. The violin and cello duets can also be played on piano as solos.

Scott Joplin’s own instructions for playing ragtime have been included in the reprinted School of Ragtime. The exercises have been simplified and rewritten in different clef combinations for the intended musicians.
