Learn the Stars and Stripes Forever

Here is the Stars and Stripes Worksheet for students who want a special project next week. It is a Learn by Ear worksheet so you can improve your playing by ear ability. Get started now and you will be able to play the official National March for Memorial Day! You will have all the bragging rights around the potato salad.

Here are 4 different ways to use the worksheet.

  1. Pre-reading students: Learn to sing the song and play the letters of the chord symbols
  2. Listen and watch the video for your instrument. Write the letter of the note underneath the word in the first staff. Play it from the letters.
  3. Take the letters you figured out in step two and use the second staff to write the melody in your clef for your instrument.
  4. Use the bottom staff to create a harmony part. Use the chord symbols (just like playing the game) to pick notes that will sound good with the melody.  This part could be a left hand piano part or a part in any clef for another player
