CelloBrationS Gone Surfin’

Cellos Gone Surfin’ will premiere on Friday, November 4 at the 6:30 concert at Trinity Church. CelloBrationS will also perform other music with a nautical theme.

Pumpkin Walk

Today we went for a Pumpkin Walk at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

We saw many, many pumpkins.  I stopped counting at 700.  There were easily more than 1,000.

The creativity of the carvers was amazing. Near the entrance to the rose garden there were two pumpkins who spelled out, “Will You” … “Marry Me?” There were other pumpkins with love as the theme.

Most of the pumpkins were carved.

Some with faces you hope you don’t meet late at night, others with more recognizable images.

Plenty of traditional Jack-O-Lanterns, ghosts, spiders and other spooky themes were on display.

Have you ever seen a pumpkin snowman?

Many of the pumpkin carvers added special touches. I really enjoyed the use of the ornamental peppers.

I’ve never seen a pumpkin with a pacifier before!

Some of the creations were done with paint.

People of all ages enjoyed the display, even in the rain.

The refreshments in the vistor’s center were a welcome treat.

Look out the window and savor the unexpected.
