Weeping Willow Trio for Violin, Viola and Piano

By request, a new arrangement of Scott Joplin’s Weeping Willow is now available. It opens with a long piano solo. The violin and viola parts begin to sing during the first statement of the theme. The viola part begins a bass line groove. By the end of the trio, treble clef reading is required for the violist. The violin part requires double stops and shifting. Heavily dependent on accurate rhythmic playing in all the parts, the piano shines in this arrangement with the strings intensifying the melodic experience.

The sheet music is available here.
