Freddie Freeloader for Cello Quartet

Let your middle and high school cellists get their feet wet with the jazz standard Freddie Freeloader. All four parts play solos, back-up and walking bass lines in turn. Cellists will grove using chopping skills and ghost notes. The cello one requires some tenor clef reading; the highest note is a C. In the other parts, fourth position is the highest position used. An intermediate level piece, this Miles Davis classic is suitable for showcases, recitals, and concerts.
