Flower Fairy Festival

A new book in the Music is Easy series, Flower Fairy Festival is available for Violin, Viola and Cello. Each book has the melody above the flower. In score form below the flower is the melody and two harmony parts. The books can be used in a mixed ensemble as well as for each individual instrument. Most of the parts can be played in first position, there is some shifting in the viola and cello books.

The Flower Fairy Playlist shows the parts individually on the cello. Different parts are also combined for practice assistance. In addition, demonstrations of the tunes as an ensemble with two violins, viola and cello are available.

This year’s special project is Learn by Ear – Learn to Accompany. There are four ways to earn points. Submit by video or at your lesson.

  1. Learn Jingle Bells Melody. Dashing through the snow begins with G, E.
    Play the melody with the Jingle Bells Rap video. (25 points).
  2. Play the accompaniment part while speaking the lyrics. (25 points)
  3. Play the accompaniment part while someone else plays Jingle Bells. (25 points) Yes, you can play with the recording, but there is a 15-point bonus for a live person.
  4. Create your own accompaniment and play it with someone else playing Jingle Bells. (25 points) Yes, you can play with the recording, but there is a 15-point bonus for a live person.

Sunrise and Sunset

Sunrise is a round in three parts for violin, viola and cello. it is in 3/4 time and G Major. Sunset is a three-part round in 4/4 time also for violin viola and cello.

Point Contest Starts January 1
