The Winter Recital ended with the Twelve Days of Christmas. This verison for multiple pianists at one piano let 17 people participate. The video gives you one perspective and the pictures let you see it from another angle. Sheet music is available for this arrangment.

Bell Carol

Bell Carol was premiered at the Winter Recital. The Ukrainian Bell Carol meets Pachelbel’s Canon in this fun quartet for lower strings. If you missed it, you can enjoy the video.

Sheet music is available for the origional version, Bell Carol for Cello and Bass, as well as versions for  cello quartet, Bell Carol for Cello Quartet, viola quartet, Bell Carol for Viola Quartet, and viola and cello quartet Bell Carol for Viola and Cello.

Christmas Extravaganza

We saw Mr and Mrs Claus visiting with the residents.

This year’s most requested pieces were Silent Night, Greensleeves, and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

The Winter Recital will take place on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Friendship Ridge. The recital will begin at 7:00 pm.  Students, please arrive 20 minutes early. String students remember your music stand.  Cellists and bassists remember your rock stop.
